Children and parents come to our various programs at The Village each day – whether it’s our campus at 1680 Albany Ave, our building on Wethersfield Ave., which we call “Village South,” or our group home in Manchester. Some come for appointments, some live there for weeks or months at a time, and others come for events or meetings.
Obviously, keeping these properties in excellent condition – as well as safe and welcoming for clients, staff and visitors – is a high priority for The Village. Greg Plourde is a member of our property maintenance team, responsible for doing just that. He can be seen testing fire extinguishers, moving furniture, repairing various items, or setting up rooms for meetings.
His positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic earned him the 2013 Village Employee of the Year award, from among the over 400 employees. He was also a member of the Team of the Year in 2010.
Prior to joining The Village in 2009, Greg did kitchen and bath remodels, and repairs and maintenance for the US Dept. of Housing and Urban Development, on a volunteer basis. Greg is Lead certified and OSHA certified, and serves on The Village’s health and safety committee.
