Joining The Village in mid-2016 with an extensive background in human resources and management, Henry is responsible for the human resources functions of the agency. Henry works with his staff to recruit employees, ensuring we hire the most competent and nurturing people who are a good fit with their teams and the families they’ll work with. In addition to hiring new employees, Henry works to ensure that current staff have the tools they need for a long and successful career at The Village. He also oversees the benefits offered to employees and employee compensation.

Prior to joining The Village, Henry reported to the Mayor of Hartford as the Director of Human Resources, Labor Relations and Benefits. There he carried out the powers and duties delegated by City Charter for planning and directing city-wide personnel programs.

Henry received the Governor’s Service Award for co-developing cthealthjobs.org and centralizing recruitment efforts for all public and private providers in the developmentally disabled field for the State of Connecticut.

Henry earned his bachelor’s in management and human resources from Interamerican University and his master’s in management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

What’s your personal mission at The Village – why are you here and what do you hope to accomplish?
What makes this organization great are the services we provide and its human capital. My goal at The Village is to support the diverse programs in meeting their goals through its most valuable resource – its people. To that end, I am committed to a stable work environment with equal opportunity for learning and personal growth.

What is something unexpected that most people don’t know about you?
I participated in a culminating educational experience as part of my graduate degree at the Technical University of Munich.
