Event Sponsorships reach key target audiences while demonstrating support for Connecticut’s families. Many of our events draw community and media attention and provide opportunities for employee involvement as well.
The Girl Within Luncheon
This early December event provides funding for the essential programs that serve young women and girls in need – programs like Community Life Skills for Girls, which provides at-risk teenage girls with a safe, caring environment that promotes self-confidence and enhanced judgment. This type of programming encourages girls to stay in school, avoid early pregnancies and abusive relationships. These prevention services for young women and girls are funded solely by corporate, foundation and private support.Proceeds from the luncheon also support The Village’s residential programs for girls at our therapeutic group home, Alison Gill Lodge in Manchester, and our Intensive Community Program for girls on our main campus, along with our GED program and parenting support programs for young mothers.
The Luncheon draws more than 500 guests including corporate representation, foundations and private philanthropists from the Greater Hartford area. At the event, they are inspired by the generosity and commitment of our Woman of the Year and moved by the stories of young women served by our programs.
Foursomes for Fatherhood
Kids Go Further with Fathers
It’s no coincidence that Foursomes for Fatherhood happens around Father’s Day. The event provides funding for our programs geared specifically for young fathers.
This golf classic has become a favorite among are golfers. This year, over 100 participants will spend the afternoon at our exciting new location: TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, the host of the PGA Tour’s Traveler’s Championship. Corporate sponsors enjoy the experience, and the exposure, at this event. They also hear from a client who has been served by our fatherhood programs about the positive impact the program is having on his life, and his child’s. Sponsorship opportunities range from $1,000-$20,000 for this special event.
