The Hartford Awards $125,000 to The Village

The Village for Families & Children was awarded a $125,000 grant from The Hartford, primarily to support The Village’s Community Life Skills for Girls program for at-risk girls and young women. This is the fourth year The Hartford has supported this program, which helps build resiliency in girls to help them deal effectively with stressful situations and chronic adversity.

As part of Subaru's “Share the Love” campaign, Mitchell Subaru of Canton donated over $4,200 to The Village for Families & Children, to support programs and services to vulnerable children and families in the Greater Hartford area.

Join Us For Dollars and Sense Day Saturday, March 8

On Saturday, March 8 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. the City of Hartford, United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut and The Village for Families & Children will host Dollars and Sense Day at Hartford Public Library Downtown, 500 Main Street in Hartford. The event is free, open to the public and part of the 2014 Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Campaign and MyFreeTaxes.
