Chief Financial Officer


A CFO, of course, is a financial expert. And Marty Morrissey is that. But he is also an experienced nonprofit, healthcare leader who has also managed business expansions, acquisitions, compliance, information technology and human resources.

Maybe more importantly, he understands and believes in the mission of The Village.

Prior to joining The Village in February 2018, Marty served as Executive Vice President for Continuum of Care and Affiliates, for over 13 years. In that role, he was responsible for all the financial functions of the agency, which provides residential support and case management services for individuals who are mentally ill or developmentally disabled, as well as leadership of the home care affiliate.

Previously, Marty served as COO and VP of Finance for Saint Mary’s Hospital, an integrated health system based in Waterbury.

Clearly a man of many interests, skills and talents, Marty has also taught graduate courses at the University of New Haven in health care financial management, economics and policy planning and execution.

Marty earned a Master’s of Science in health care administration from the University of New Haven and a Bachelor’s in accounting from Boston College. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

What is something unexpected that most people don’t know about you?
I grew up in a print shop watching type being set by hand, letter by letter.

What do you most want clients of The Village to know about you?
I will work as hard as I can to make sure we have a strong financial foundation for The Village’s next 200 years.
