Steven Moore, PhD

Vice President, New Business Development

Steve joined us in July 2015 as our Vice President of New Business Development. As a member of the executive management team, Steve helps to identify opportunities to enhance our service offerings for children, families and others in the Greater Hartford community who need assistance to be healthy, stable and productive.

In his position, Steve develops partnerships with other health care providers, state agencies and other funders that enable The Village to expand our role in the healthcare field.

Steve has a wide range of relevant experience, having previously served in leadership positions with a variety of health care and managed care organizations. These include Wheeler Clinic, Community Mental Health Affiliates, and most recently, Value Options-CT/CT Behavioral Health Partnership, a statutorily created entity that manages Medicaid mental health and substance abuse services. For the Partnership/Value Options, he served as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Clinical Operations, overseeing the clinical departments responsible for adult services and integration of physical and behavioral health services.

Steve’s experience combines clinical, operational and managerial expertise, focusing on problem solving, strategic thinking and creating new opportunities for organizational success. He is excited about using the breadth of his knowledge and expertise to help The Village grow and be even more successful.

“Historically, right up to the present, The Village has been the premier children’s behavioral health provider in the state,” says Steve. “I want to extend that excellence to people of all ages, and to include physical health and wellness, along with behavioral health.”
