The Village – and the children and families we serve – are fortunate to have the support of more than 500 volunteer Auxilians, who among other things, run our Second Chance Shops in Glastonbury, Simsbury and Suffield.

The shops sell clean, gently used items in support of our programs. Last year, the auxiliaries contributed over $259,000 to The Village.

We appreciate the commitment Auxiliary volunteers have made to our mission – for over 50 years. The dollars they raise are critical and the role they play in spreading the word about our work is equally valuable – and inspirational.

If you are committed to giving back to the community and playing a part in improving the lives of others, you might enjoy being a member of The Village Auxiliary, and volunteering in one of our Second Chance Shops.

_SimsAuxCheckVolunteers commit a few hours per month to staff the store and organize merchandise. Leadership opportunities are also available. Auxilians also attend social events and meetings to learn about The Village and our mission to help children and families within our community.
