Five Years in a Row! The Village Named a Top Workplace and a Top Non-Profit Nationwide

The Village has been named a 2024 Top Workplace in Connecticut by The Hartford Courant, marking the organization’s fifth consecutive year receiving the award. The Village was also one of seven non-profits in Connecticut to be awarded a National Top Workplaces Non-Profit Industry Award, which is the third time The Village has received this recognition since the national award’s inception in 2021.

This year, The Village was again honored for its people-first, company culture, receiving additional cultural excellence awards in areas of innovation, leadership and purpose and values.

“We’re very honored to receive this award five years running and to be recognized on a national scale,” said Village President & CEO Hector Glynn. “Our work and impact are only possible because of the tireless efforts of our dedicated and hardworking staff. It means so much that this recognition comes from our team and that they know that The Village is just as committed to them as we are to the children, adults and families we serve.”

The awards are based on anonymous employee surveys that examine how employees feel their organization works together toward a common cause, as well as the company’s values, encouragement of new ideas, learning and development opportunities and commitment to diversity and equity efforts.

This year, dozens of organizations and businesses in Connecticut earned the Top Workplace distinction, and 119 nonprofits across the nation were bestowed the 2024 National Top Workplaces Non-Profit Industry Award.
