West Hartford Second Chance Shop Celebrates 6th Anniversary With One-Of-A-Kind Trunk Show Sale and Special Event

Volunteer-run thrift boutique to offer designer Trunk Show items at unbeatable prices

The Village’s West Hartford Second Chance Shop is celebrating its sixth anniversary—and more than $350,000 raised to benefit children, adults and families served by The Village—with a two-week Trunk Show Sale and special evening event.

Thanks to a generous donation from The Trunk Show in Farmington, the Second Chance Shop will hold a one-of-a-kind sale from January 23 to February 1 during its open hours (Thursdays and Saturdays, 10:00am-2:00pm) where shoppers can find incredible deals on new, designer merchandise with tags intact.

Merchandise from The Trunk Show will be sold at 70% off the sticker price, and an assortment of collectables from the Second Chance Shop’s home décor department will also be 40% off.
Mark your calendar for these sale dates:

  • Thursday, January 23, 10:00am-2:00pm (Special Anniversary Celebration from 5:00-7:00pm, open to the public)
  • Saturday, January 25, 10:00am-2:00pm
  • Thursday, January 30, 10:00am-2:00pm
  • Saturday, February 1, 10:00am-2:00pm

Located at 175 Park Road in West Hartford, the Second Chance Shop has become a cornerstone of the community since its opening in 2019. By giving clothing and household items a second life, the shop not only offers high-quality goods at affordable prices but also supports families in need through The Village’s essential services.

The Shop is always looking for new volunteers and donations of gently used clothing and housewares. Learn more or submit a volunteer inquiry at thevillage.org/shops.
