Jim Nardozzi currently serves as Executive Director of the Waterbury Development Corporation (WDC). Before joining WDC, Jim was Vice President of Global Business Services at Drew Marine, a century-old specialty chemical manufacturer and marine services company for the ocean-going maritime sector. Within this role, Jim also headed Drew’s precision fuel systems manufacturing operations in Germany, as well as Drew’s supply chain operations from Canada to Argentina.
Jim has held executive leadership positions in municipal government in both the cities of Bridgeport and Waterbury, academia, and not-for-profits. His professional interests and experiences focus on organizational turnarounds and operating efficiencies. He has served on the boards of several local non-profit organizations, including the last six years as Board Chair of Wellmore Behavioral Health.
A Waterbury native, he continues to reside in Waterbury with his wife, Amanda Nardozzi, PhD, and their rescue Jack Russell terriers.
Jim earned his Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Northeastern University, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of New Haven, and a Doctorate in Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University. He is a graduate of the 206th Session of the FBI National Academy, Quantico, VA.
