Help Provide 500 Kids With Warm Coats Before Winter

The Village for Families & Children will hold a Coats for Kids Drive on October 2 to provide 500 kids with warm coats before winter. New and gently used children’s coats will be collected at the West Hartford Village Second Chance Shop—at 175 Park Rd.—during and after the Park Road Parade from 9:00am to 3:00pm.

The Village is also accepting monetary donations toward coats for those who wish to give but are unable to attend the parade. For more information or to give, click here.

On the day of the parade, the West Hartford Second Chance Shop will also offer a 22% discount in celebration of the Park Road Parade’s 22nd year. All proceeds from the volunteer-run Shop—which sells new and gently used clothing, accessories, antiques, and household items—benefit The Village’s programs that build a community of strong, healthy families who protect and nurture children.
