Supervised Visitation

Our supervised visitation program provides a safe, structured, and neutral environment where children can spend time with a non-custodial parent when a court order or family situation requires supervision. Visits take place in a comfortable, home-like environment that includes a living room furnished with toys and games, a kitchen with cooking utensils and a private restroom.

Visits are monitored by trained staff whose role is to:

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the child
  • Maintain a calm and respectful environment
  • Document attendance and general observations
  • Support positive, child-focused interactions

Our goal is to help children maintain meaningful relationships with parents in a setting that promotes security and emotional well-being.

Location

All visits take place at:
KIDSAFE CT, 19 Elm Street, Vernon, CT 06066

FAQs

What is the cost for supervised visitation?

Supervised visitation is offered as a fee-for-service program and is not billed through insurance. Our fee schedule will be reviewed with you during the initial phone call so you can clearly understand the costs before getting started.

At this time, visits are scheduled on weekdays based on the availability of our trained monitors. We do our best to offer times that work for participating families.

Visits typically last one to two hours. While every family’s situation is unique, supervised visitation often continues for approximately three to six months before being reviewed by the court.

During intake, we review program guidelines, scheduling, and expectations to help ensure visits run smoothly for everyone involved. Our program focuses specifically on supervised visitation services and does not provide therapy or formal parent education. Visit hours may vary depending on monitor availability.
