Juan’s Story

Earlier in his life, Juan felt lost. His family, as he says, was dysfunctional, and he never really had a father’s presence in his life. When Juan had children of his own, he wanted to break that cycle be a father with purpose, love and consistency. Thanks to the support and sense of community he gained from The Village’s Fatherhood Engagement Services program, Juan was able to become the present, supportive and nurturing father he wished he had.

I never really had a dad. It was not a good thing. The Village has not just taught me how to be a better father, but how to be a better man.
