West Hartford Second Chance Shop Hosts Huge Storewide Sale To Celebrate 3-Year Anniversary

January 19, 2022

Despite a pandemic-driven multi-month shutdown and the massive challenges of the last few years, The Village’s volunteer-run West Hartford Second Chance Shop has raised tens of thousands of dollars to support Greater Hartford children and families in need. To celebrate its three-year anniversary, the Shop is hosting a big sale this week—shoppers will enjoy 30% off new and high-quality, gently used men’s and women’s clothing, accessories and household goods.

Located at 175 Park Road in West Hartford, the Shop is open on Thursdays and Saturdays from 10:00pm to 2:00pm. Proceeds from the Shop, which is run and managed by volunteer auxiliary members, benefit Village services for children, adults and families.

Since opening its doors in 2019, the Shop has been instrumental in providing an outlet to give clothing a second life, provide affordable, high-quality clothing options and support Village programs that help build a community of strong, healthy families who protect and nurture children.

Along with The Village’s three other Second Chance Shops—in Glastonbury, Simsbury and Suffield—the four Second Chance Shops collectively raised more than $400,000 last year and have raised more than $6 million for The Village over the years.

The Shops accept donations during their open hours. Click here to learn more or call 860-461-7067 for more information.
