Extended Day Treatment (EDT)

Our Extended Day Treatment (EDT) program is a six-month day program that will support your child or teen in developing and practicing social and coping skills to help them express their feelings in healthy, productive ways. Family involvement is critical.

The program includes:

  • Daily peer groups
  • Family support
  • Group, individual and family therapy
  • Case management
  • Medication management as needed

Nearly anyone can make referrals, including therapists, psychiatrists, probation officers, and school social workers. Should a parent wish to refer their child, we request that a current or previous treatment provider submit clinical information. This ensures we have a comprehensive mental health history to determine the suitability of the program for the child.
