Alicia may enjoy collegial ribbing and a good joke, but when it comes to rules and regulations she’s a stickler. As Associate Vice President, of Risk Management and Compliance for The Village, Alicia works closely with the executive leadership team to ensure our compliance with agency policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards. She helps to establish methods to improve quality, safety and efficiency across Village programs.
She also ensures that measures are in place to protect our clients’ privacy and confidentiality, and that they are aware of their rights as a Village client. Alicia delivers trainings to staff and managers on agency initiatives, policy and procedures related to quality, compliance and confidentiality.
Alicia joined The Village in 2012 as a compliance specialist and served as project leaders for The Joint Commission Accreditation application process, which we achieved in August 2015.
Alicia says that she is at The Village, “to work to give children and families a safe place to grow, face their challenges and build a hopeful future no matter how they may come to encounter The Village. My hope is that ultimately we are a place as dynamic as our families.”
Previously, Alicia served as Quality Assurance program Monitor for the Community Renewal Team, a multi-service nonprofit based in Hartford. She earned her Master’s in Public Administration from UCONN.
