Adoption Services

Our Adoption Services provides prospective and adoptive parents with training, preparation and home study services. Grief and loss counseling is provided to adoptive children to help them with the loss of their birth family. The program serves children ages 18 and under who are in the care of the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) who are in need of a permanent home. Adoption services also assists individuals and couples who are seeking to adopt an infant outside of Connecticut. Our Adoption Assistance Program provides case management services for post-adoptive families and families formed through guardianship who reside in Hartford, Tolland, Windham and New London counties. Services include post-adoption support, assessment, education, brief counseling, in-home support and referral services to support family functioning and strengthen family bonds.
