In addition, Patty manages the  Multi-Disciplinary Evaluation (MDE) screenings which provides comprehensive, trauma informed screening that looks at the physical, dental, developmental, behavioral and emotional health of a children who have been placed in DCF care. Patty also assisted in the implementation of our new Quality Parenting Center in Manchester. She continues to provide support and guidance to this successful center.

“My mission at The Village is to ensure that children are safe, happy and loved in their own homes with their own families, whenever possible,” says Patty.

Patty first joined The Village as a youth counselor in The Village’s Safe Home; she then provided home-based services to families referred by the Department of Social Service. Prior to directing the RTFT program, she assisted at-risk families in the Intensive Family Preservation Program for several years. Proceeding her time at The Village, she was a family counselor at the Salvation Army Marshall House Family Shelter.

Patty has also served as a hotline volunteer with the YWCA’s Sexual Assault Crisis Services. Patty is UConn credentialed in Family Development (FDC) which she still incorporates it’s principles when advocating for families. She earned her bachelor’s in Human Services and MSW degree from Springfield College.

What is something unexpected that most people don’t know about you?
In addition to believing that all children deserve safe loving homes, I feel the same for animals. I have rescued, fostered and placed over 20 amazing pets into forever homes.

What do you most want the clients of The Village to know about you?
I believe that all families have strengths and are resilient. I will always advocate and support the families in whatever way I can.
