Lunch Break With The Village

The Power of Sports and Therapeutic Care

October 6, 2021

We explored the power of bringing together sports and therapeutic care and how The Village, Doc Wayne Youth Services and ESPN are partnering to bring trauma-informed sports curriculum to children at The Village with social, emotional and behavioral disorders to develop healthier coping skills, feel more confident to engage in sport and fitness, and become leaders in their school or community.

Learn:

  • About the unique approach of trauma-informed sports curriculum
  • How this curriculum will powerfully impact the well-being of Village children
  • and much more!

Our guests were David Cohen, CEO of Doc Wayne Youth Services, Inc.; Donald Brooks, ESPN Manager, Corporate Citizenship; and Catherine Corto-Mergins, LCSW, Director, Training.
