The Village’s Second Chance Shops

September 16, 2021

The Village’s Second Chance Shops—located in Glastonbury, Simsbury, Suffield and West Hartford, are filled with incredible bargains on great clothing and household items. Each shop is 100% volunteer run, with all proceeds benefitting The Village. As a result, more than $6 million in proceeds has been donated to The Village over the last 50 years.

We talked about exciting upcoming events, bargains and volunteer opportunities at our Second Chance Shops!

We learned:

  • How you can shop, donate or volunteer at one of the Shops
  • About our upcoming Cozy Coats for Kids Drive on October 2 at the West Hartford Shop and how you can help provide warm coats for the children and families we serve!

Our guests were Jill Scully, West Hartford Auxiliary Co-Chair and Lynn Webber, Village Spring Street Family Center Program Manager.

Lunch Break With The Village is hosted by Yvette Young, LPC, The Village’s AVP of Programs and Advocacy.
